Background

Clinical Evidence

Clinical Overview

Included Patients

  • All included patients had infected open wounds for days, weeks and even years, failing to respond to previous treatments.
  • Met chronic wound criteria (<50% closure after 4+ weeks of standard care).
  • Aged 70+ with various underlying health conditions.

Clinical Results

  • No side effects with our treatments (like contact dermatitis or skin irritation).
  • Evidence of increased epithelialization since switching to our treatments.
  • The Lavage also decreased the recurrence rate of tissue breakdown in one MRSA-carrier patient and decreased low-grade stasis inflammation.

The main PI of the study says, “I would say the results of this very small trial are very encouraging, especially the wash (ComBatic Lavage) use; however, the combination use showed promise as well.”

Clinical Case Studies

Patient #1 (mixed infection case)

+

Condition: Very difficult case. Staph A, strep infection with calcium deposits in SQ tissue and overlying scar tissue formation.

Treatment Start: February 12th with both products.

Outcome (March 5th): Marked improvement of the surrounding tissue health was observed.

Patient #2

+

Condition: Refractory left leg ischemic lesion; patient declined angioplasty.

Treatment: Both products were used.

Initial Outcome: Marked improvement of the wound over one week with a decrease in surrounding tissue inflammation

Patient #3 (MRSA case)

+

Condition: Elderly woman, MRSA carrier, with recurrent venous stasis lesions. The patient had been colonized with MRSA for two years, with no success from previous treatments, and the infection continued to recur.

Previous Treatment (Dec 2025): Settled down with Septra, Betaderm 0.01% thin film application (twice daily), and 10% bleach washes. Recurrent infection.

Current Treatment: Using ComBatic Lavage twice a day; bleach and Betaderm have been stopped.

Outcome: Leg has been clear (no flaking or scaling) for the last 2 months. Patient is very pleased.

Patient #4

+

Condition: Patient with diabetes mellitus (DM) in their early 70s, with reasonable diabetic control, who developed bullous lesions on the right leg that subsequently broke down in February.

Treatment: Started both ComBatic™ products and currently uses the wound wash twice daily.

Outcome: Wound healed very quickly. The skin on the leg remains healthy with complete disappearance of scaling, and the patient is very pleased with the results.

Patient #5

+

Condition: Refractory neuropathic right first toe lesion. WBC scan was negative for underlying osteomyelitis (OM), and the patient’s last A1c was in the 7.2 range. Previous treatment with Nanosalv was unsuccessful.

Treatment: Using both ComBatic™ products.

Outcome: ComBatic™ wound care products were the only treatments that successfully healed the lesion. The patient is very pleased with the results.

Patient #6

+

Condition: Mid-70s diabetic patient with variable compliance and blood sugars that were only recently brought under better control. WBC scan was negative for underlying osteomyelitis (OM). Refractory neuropathic lesion located at the right 5th metatarsal head (MTH).

Treatment: Initially responded very well to both ComBatic™ products.

Outcome: Although complete healing was not achieved, significant improvement was observed and the patient remains very pleased with the overall progress.
